ABOUT US
Living Dead Nightmare Productions was founded in 2004 by John Cook II to give the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas the Terrifying Haunted House it needed!
John Cook II grew up surrounded by haunted attractions, attending his first haunted house at the tender age of two! From that day on he was drawn to the dark and terrifying.
Growing up in the Dallas and Ft. Worth area he began working in haunted houses at the age of fifteen. At sixteen he managed his first haunted house at the Forum Mall in Arlington, Texas. From seventeen to twenty-two he had the privilege of working with the great Lance Pope (Rest in Peace my Mentor) at Verdun Manor, a national recognized Haunted House. Moving to the Great Rio Grande Valley in 1997 he yearned to bring a really Terrifying Haunted House to the Valley. In 2001 on a little budget he produced Haunted Polk Manor in Pharr, Texas. Being only a month after the devastating 9-11 attacks, the house was a moderate success. In 2005 Living Dead Nightmare Productions produced the Carnival of Terror Haunted House in Harlingen, Texas, which met to rave revues from customers and the media. In 2006 Living Dead Nightmare Productions produced the "Undead Asylum". Read the article in the Paper of South Texas by clicking here.
In 2007 Living Dead Nightmare Productions opened the doors to the "Rotting Flesh Factory" Haunted House.
In 2008 tragedy struck! While having an electrician install some additional emergency lighting, there was an arc which caused a fire that spread to the roof. The building was a total loss. We had come too far and could not give up though. The RGV needed a quality haunted attraction. So in 2009 we moved back to 602 West Van Buren Avenue to continue the tradition we had started in 2001. So RGV be prepared to “Hear Your Flesh Rip” once again. The Rotting Flesh Factory Haunted House Is Back…
